What makes GermanExamPro different from ChatGPT?

ChatGPT wants to be polite. The exam is not. We grade by the rules of your exam. We look for exactly the mistakes that cost you points in TestDaF, DSH, telc and Goethe. For this, we studied over 1,000 corrected course texts.

Which exams does the platform cover?

TestDaF, DSH (1–3), Goethe C1, telc C1 Hochschule and telc C1. When you choose your exam, the AI grades by exactly these rules. Writing and speaking get a verdict. You practise reading and listening with tasks like in the exam. B2 (telc, DTB, Goethe) is coming soon, with a waiting list.

Do you already have to speak German fluently?

No. GermanExamPro takes you from B2 to C1. Your agent also explains your mistakes in your native language, for example in English, Arabic or Chinese. This way you understand the grammar faster.

How do you assess my speaking?

Accepted Answer

In the chat, you get a speaking task for your exam and speak your answer into the microphone. The AI listens to your recording itself. You get a level, feedback on every criterion and three tips. An accent is not a mistake if people understand you well. The level is an estimate, not an official grade.

What is not assessed in speaking?

We do not grade the conversation with the examiners yet. For TestDaF, nothing is missing, because it has no conversation. For Goethe C1, telc C1, telc C1 Hochschule and DSH, we grade your talk. From that, we estimate the level for the whole speaking part.

What is the difference between the plans?

Accepted Answer

The Wochen-Pass (€15, one-time payment) is valid for seven days, even without an exam date. The Prüfungs-Pass (one-time payment; the price depends on your exam date: €12 per week, first month max. €49, then €25 per further month started, max. €324 for a year) is valid until 3 days after your exam. Both include all AI features for writing, speaking, reading and listening: unlimited evaluations, error memory, learning plans, and progress tracking. The Expert-Check (from €29 per text, one-time) is a written correction of one text by Margarita personally, with score, markings, and a PDF report.

How does the free access work?

With a free account, you get the verdict on your first text: whether it is enough, your level and how close it is. You can try speaking once. Reasons, corrections and practice come with the Pass. No credit card needed.
